Winifred Holtby held one of the first proms of the season, when about 150 students packed the KC Stadium for their end-of-year bash.
Students had a chance to have pictures taken by a Mail photographer, before getting souvenir snaps of their own in a photo booth inside the venue.
Anita Hoy, learning Links manager at the Midmere Avenue School, said: "It is a lovely idea for this age group and makes them feel grown-up. Everyone had a fantastic time and it was so nice for the staff to be with them for last time.
"We had a prom king and queen and lots of dancing. It was such a lovely evening and we had lots of parents outside taking pictures. There were also some really amazing dresses."
"It's great for the kids to see themselves in he Mail and parents like it as well because not all of them could come down and they will be able to see them in the paper."
