HULL City target Michael Dawson seems to be getting more reasons to move to Hull City.
A line on Friday in the Daily Telegraph suggested Dawson may not be keen on a move to the KC.
But today it is reported in The Sun that new Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is lining up a bid for Ajax centre-back and Netherlands star Joel Veltman. The paper says Spurs are keen to bring in a new central back as Dawson prepares to move to Hull.Bidding steps up for Dundee United's Andy Robertson
Another Hull City target looks increasingly likely to move to the KC shortly - if the price is right - according to reports in Scotland.
The Courier in Dundee says City are "set to break the £2 million barrier" in a bid to capture Dundee United defender Andy Robertson.
The paper says City had a verbal offer of £1.75 million plus add-ons knocked back.
It also reports that Everton and Southampton are still possible bidders but City now look strong favourites and a deal could be closed in the next few days.
"With over a month to go before the transfer window closes, the chances of the Scottish international still being a United player at the start of the season are growing slimmer by the day," the paper says.
But it also adds that Dundee United can expect more cash out of the "big spending" Tigers. "They see the first bid as a starting point in negotiations rather than a "take it or leave it" one," the report adds.Aluko's racism ordeal
Hull City's Sone Aluko has revealed he experienced racist abuse while at Rangers – but says since moving to Hull he hasn't had any problems.
Aluko also thinks penalties for racist abuse at football are too lenient and wants FIFA to do more to punish offenders.
He told the Daily Maverick in South Africa: "At Rangers I did experience some racism. Fortunately I've not had to deal with it since I've been back in the Premier League, but there are strange cases of it happening. Sometimes I don't even know if the person is racist or if they are just trying to use racism to get under my skin.
"I think it's harder for young person to be racist these days, though. For example, if you support Man City, where Yaya Toure is a star and you have a poster of a black person on your wall, it's going to be hard to be racist.
"A lot of it these days is said because people are just trying to provoke you. There will be racism in football because it is part of society. Anything that is in society will translate into football," he says.
"I think the sanctions are a bit lenient. If you look at the NBA and how they responded to Donald Sterling and how swiftly they responded; I don't think racism can be stopped, I think it can only be punished when it happens. I think football should be a way to combat these issues. I think FIFA can do more with the punishments, but to stop it completely, I don't know that's possible," Aluko says.
And speaking about the upcoming season, Aluko said he is setting himself a target of scoring up to 15 goals to help City's Premier League campaign.
He said: "Football is always there for goals. I set myself about 10 or 15 every season to try to push myself forward. I don't want to rest on my laurels."
And he said he hoped to make the Nigeria squad for the Africa Cup of Nations next year. He added: "Playing internationals is a big dream. Missing out on the World Cup was a disappointment, but there is an Africa Cup of Nations coming up next year too."Max effort for promising Hull City youngster
Hull City have handed a new deal to England youth international Max Clark, Sky Sports reports.
The highly-rated 18-year-old is yet to make Steve Bruce's first-team squad but hopes are high for the left-back and he has been handed a new two-year deal.
