TOM Lineham believes the Hull FC fans will make the KC Stadium a fortress if the Black and Whites can be entertainers.
Having won just five of their nine home games this season, Lee Radford's men struggled at times in the first half of the campaign.
Hampered by a series of home clashes that coincided with a disappointing run of form, Hull seemed to struggle under the weight of expectation at the KC.
After nursing a broken leg in recent months, Lineham has been an interested spectator as Hull's form has taken an upward turn in the past month.
While they've not won for the last two matches, he is convinced the Black and Whites can make the most of their home comforts once again.
"The KC was a real fortress for us last year, but it's not been the same this year," said Lineham, who will not play any part when Hull make their return home following two months on the road due to pitch improvements.
"It was tough at the start of the year because we had a lot of home games, but we weren't playing our best and we didn't get the results we'd hope for.
"Now we feel we are playing better, and hopefully with a good crowd behind us, we can make it as tough as possible again for teams to come to the KC and we can start picking up a lot of home wins again."
Hull play the first of their final five home games against Warrington tonight, with Castleford, St Helens, Hull KR and Leeds still to come in a tough run of fixtures.
"It's the best stadium in the league without a doubt and when it is bouncing it is unbelievable to play there," added Lineham. "The other side is when it is flat it can be like a morgue and it's tough. But that's down to the players.
"The fans pay their money and they want to be entertained so it is down to us to do that."
