TOUCHING tributes have been paid to a young Beverley man who died last week.
Friends of Tom Scott gathered on Beverley Westwood on Friday evening to light lanterns in his memory.
Tom, 23, is believed to have died from natural causes at his home in Beverley.
Dozens of his friends paid their respects and shared their favourite memories of Tom.
On one rock on the Westwood, a friend had chalked the message: "Tom Scott, a hero a friend."
The paper Chinese lanterns could be seen rising across the Westwood from the town. One person said: "It was a lovely site. Very moving."
Tom was a former Beverley Grammar School pupil and worked as an engineer with Scunthorpe based Beckwood Instrumentation.
