Our daily blog with the latest news, transfer rumours and gossip about Hull City in the Premier League. June 28: Geoff Cameron, Tom Ince, Tottenham's Michael Dawson and Nicklas Bendtner.
Stoke City and USA utility man Geoff Cameron is the latest name to be linked with Hull City as Steve Bruce continues his search for new defenders.
The 28-year-old, who is with the US at the World Cup and started the first two group matches before dropping to the bench for the Germany clash, can play at right-back, centre-back, or in midfield.
He made 44 appearances last season but could be deemed surplus to requirements after the Potters signed Phil Bardsley from Sunderland.Sky Sports has linked Cameron with a move to the KC, but Sunderland are also rumoured to be interested as they look for a replacement for Bardsley.Dawson and Ince to sign next weekThe Sun reckons Michael Dawson and Tom Ince will both sign for Hull City next week. As we reported yesterday, Bruce is chasing both men as he looks to continue splashing the cash this summer. The Sun says a £4m deal for Dawson has been agreed, while Ince, who has held talks with Bruce, will sign once a tribunal sets a compensation fee for Blackpool.
It seems the bookies are convinced Ince will complete his move - he is 4/7 with SkyBet - ending a transfer saga that saw him turn down Inter Milan earlier this summer in order to fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Robert Snodgrass will complete his £7m move to East Yorkshire next week after solicitors finish crossing the 'T's and dotting the 'I's on the paperwork, and Eldin Jakupovic has signed a new two-year deal.New deals for former favourites
Former Tigers favourite Stephen Hunt is set to join Ipswich. The Irish international - an energetic presence during City's first spell in the Premier League - impressed in East Anglia during a six-month loan spell last season.
Meanwhile, former City stopper Vito Mannone has agreed a contract extension which will keep him at Sunderland until 2017.And finally ...
It's the rumour that refuses to die: Bookies have Hull City favourites to sign free agent Nicklas Bendtner after he was released by Arsenal. Odds of 6/4 may have much to do with Bendtner's links with Steve Bruce, who would have to move out Nick Proschwitz before any deal could be considered.
