A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a man as she walked through a tenfoot in Willerby, say police. The teenager was attacked between the Parkway and Hawthorne Avenue as she walked home from her friend's house. The attack happened at 10.15pm on Saturday. She told officers that she realised she was being followed and a man, believed to be aged around 18, began shouting sexual remarks to her. He then caught up with her and pinned her against a wall. He then indecently touched her and continued with explicit remarks and demands. The girl fought the man off and ran home. The attacker is white and between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10 ins tall. He has a very thin build. He was wearing a black hooded top, with the hood pulled over his face, and grey knee-length jogging bottom-style shorts. Detective Constable Teresa Colledge said: "The victim has been very brave in coming forward and has provided the police with a very detailed description of the suspect, despite the fact the suspect made every effort to conceal his face. "Saturday evening was lovely and mild. Despite the time of the incident, it was only dusk and it is thought many people may have still had their windows and curtains open in neighbouring houses to where the attack is alleged to have occurred. "The victim has been very courageous. However, the ordeal has taken its toll on her and she is still coming to terms with the assault. "I would like anyone who thinks they may be able to help identify this man from his clothing to ring me." Anyone with any information is asked to call Humberside Police on 101, quoting log number 305, of June 22.
