TWO horses have been deliberately shot with air rifles in the East Riding.
Police are investigating reports the animals, which were not seriously hurt, were deliberately targeted.
PC Will Stephenson said: "Thankfully, the horses have not been seriously hurt, however we are investigating the incidents as it is possible that someone has deliberately inflicted injuries to the animals, which is of concern."
Both animals were in fields near the A1033 when they were injured.
The first horse was shot between June 8 and 9 in a field near Thorngumbald. Between June 13 and June 17, another horse was in a field near Camerton when it was injured.
Anyone with information should call Humberside Police on 101.
