TWO men have been charged over the assault on Hull KR player Sean Gleeson.
The 26-year-old was forced to retire from the game due to the eye injury, which he suffered in the attack outside a nightclub in Wigan.
Terrence Riley, 24, of Harrison Drive, Haydock has been charged with actual bodily harm and Lee Jones, 21, of Alder Avenue, Ashton-in-Makerfield, has been charged with grievous bodily harm.
Gleeson was involved in a verbal altercation with three men at Ibiza Bar on King Street at around 4am on Sunday, March 2.
It is thought a fight erupted between two men, before others got involved and Gleeson was punched several times in the face.
Both men are due to appear at Wigan magistrates' court on Friday June 27.
