HULL City are setting up a supporters' working group ahead of the 2014/15 football season in a bid to involve fans in more key issues affecting the club. Fans from the working group will meet with representatives from the club at regular intervals with members encouraged to bring forward any issues that may be of concern. The club said issues could include ticketing arrangements, the matchday experience at the KC Stadium, merchandise and communications. It is thought the move is designed to rebuild bridges between the club and fans in the wake of the damaging controversy sparked by the bid by owners, the Allam family, to rename the club last season. Any supporter over the age of 16 is able to apply to be a part of the group, which City said will allow the club and fans to work more closely "to make improvements for the benefit of all". Club marketing manager James Mooney said: "We speak to a lot of supporters about the ideas that they have for improving certain aspects at the football club and feel that the time is right to formalise the process in which these can be brought forward. "It is felt that a working group, which will be fluid and transparent, is the best way in which to do this. "We appreciate that this isn't an entirely new idea, but feel that it will be an evolution of the former Fans Liaison Committee which was disbanded a number of years ago under a previous regime. However, this new incarnation will invite supporters to put their views to us in a more direct manner than ever before. "The views and concerns of our fans are of great importance to us, especially when the majority of work we do goes towards making their experience a better one." Any supporters interested in taking part are asked to email Mr Mooney with their contact details and ideas about how the club can improve the supporter experience.
