Hull FC have confirmed Garreth Carvell has joined Castleford Tigers on loan for the rest of the season.
The 34-year-old made only seven appearances after arriving in Hull in a controversial move from Bradford Bulls.
His last outing was a disappointing performance at the Magic Weekend against Hull KR in May and he has since fallen down the pecking order.
Carvell has already been informed his one-year deal won't be extended at the end of the season so now has the opportunity to further his career elsewhere.
