LIAM Watts faces a race against time to make the Hull FC trip to Perpignan after losing his passport.
A backlog at the passport office has complicated matters further, with coach Lee Radford admitting he is unsure whether the matter can be resolved in time.
Usually, FC would send Watts to Liverpool to obtain a new one, but the backlog has seen the Black and Whites employ a solicitor to look into obtaining a replacement passport.
Time is the major factor being taken into account, as Hull depart for the south of France early on Friday morning ahead of Saturday night's game.
Radford says it will be a significant blow to Hull to be without Watts, who has been in impressive form in his last two appearances.
The forward misplaced his passport at his house and after a lengthy search has been unable to find it, prompting football manager Motu Tony to contact a solicitor to see if anything can be done.
Garreth Carvell is currently on standby and is expected to travel to France in Watts' place if the matter is not resolved by Thursday afternoon.
