Peter Swan watched the FA Cup final between Hull City and Arsenal at Wembley.
It would be easy to suggest losing a two-goal lead in a cup final would leave you questioning if you could do any more, but that's certainly not the case for Hull City.
Every single one of the Tigers' players left the Wembley pitch knowing they'd given everything they had.
Yes, the defeat will hurt and City did make mistakes, but this was a full-blooded performance for everyone to be proud of.
The shape of the team was right, Steve Bruce picked the right players and those players gave him everything, as they have done all season.
The start was more than anyone could have dreamed of and it was probably hard for Bruce to know how to react to being two goals up so early, because it's not something you can plan for.
City continued to press and were unlucky not to get a third goal, which I am sure would have killed off the game. As it was, Arsenal came back, but then we always knew they would.
It was always going to be a difficult task keeping a clean sheet against the Gunners, but there was certainly a touch of misfortune about both the Arsenal goals.
Alex Bruce, who was immense, was unlucky to concede the free-kick which led to Arsenal's first, and the second came from a corner which shouldn't have been given.
City rode their luck too, though. Tom Huddlestone was fortunate not to be penalised for his challenge on Olivier Giroud, which could have brought a penalty, while Curtis Davies could also easily have given a penalty away for his tackle on Santi Cazorla.
Given City's efforts I think they deserved a draw and a chance to take it to penalties, but it wasn't to be and Sone Aluko's narrow miss from a tight angle proved how winning and losing the cup can come down to such tight margins.
But although they were beaten, City's players, fans and everyone associated with the club can be proud of a terrific performance and an amazing day that nobody will ever forget.
