TENS of thousands of football fans will be cheering on their heroes in the FA Cup final, with millions more watching on TV.

No one will be closer to the action than seven-year-old Jacob Stamp, who will walk out onto the hallowed Wembley turf holding Hull City manager's Steve Bruce's hand.

The lucky lad from Brough, whose favourite City player is Jake Livermore, won the FA Cup dreams competition.

"This is my dream," he said. "I am looking forward to it.

"It will be very loud but I'm not nervous about walking out.

"I think Hull City will win 5-4 on penalties."

Jacob will be joined by his parents Teresa and Chris, who all went to the semi-final victory against Sheffield United at Wembley.

It was not all smiles at the last trip to London. Losing 2-1 at half time, Mrs Stamp said Jacob was sulking and upset at the break.

But he cheered up when the Tigers hit back to win 5-3 and their place in the final.

"I've told the whole school," said the Brough Primary School pupil.

"My teacher said it's amazing and asked a reception teacher if I would show the email in front of the school."

His parents entered the FA Cup dreams competition on website Facebook in January, although they thought the prize was the chance to have a sleep over with the FA Cup trophy at Wembley Stadium.

The aim of the competition was to give children the chance to live out the dreams of countless football fans from the third round, through to the final.

Mrs Stamp said: "I entered the competition for the sleepover as the FA Cup is a really big thing for football.

"I had forgotten I had entered and then last week, I had a call from the FA saying Jacob was going to be walking with Steve Bruce.

"The man rang up congratulated us and I just listened with my mouth wide open.

"I said, 'Are you having a laugh?'"

The family had details emailed through from the FA and that is when Jacob was told.

"We had already got tickets for the final before we found out about the competition," said Mrs Stamp.

"I showed him the email and made him read it out.

"He started reading it and the grin on his face grew bigger.

"Then came the laughter – he was gob smacked."

The family travel down to London today and Jacob will leave his parents at 2pm tomorrow, returning to join them at the stadium just after the game has kicked off.

"The FA will look after him for a couple of hours and while we go through the normal turnstiles, Jacob will be getting changed in the players' changing room," said Mrs Stamp.

""We won't see him again until 5.15pm.

"I'm a little jealous but I think my husband is more jealous.

"I am made up for Jacob as it is such a big match.

"I'll be blubbering at the start seeing him walk out with Steve Bruce."

Mrs Stamp, who was also at Wembley in 2008 to see the Tigers first get promoted to the Premier League, said: "If we get a few goals in the first half and the crowd get behind the team, I think we could win.

"If we don't win, I think it is just great getting there.

"I never thought I'd see Hull City in an FA Cup final."
