Tomorrow, I will sit down and watch Hull City attempt to beat Arsenal to win the FA Cup.
The historic occasion is only slightly tarnished by the fact the match is being screened on ITV.
Perhaps it's my age, but the spectacle of FA Cup finals started going downhill once they stopped being covered by the BBC and its extended Saturday afternoon Grandstand programme in particular.
So, in a homage to those far off days, here's what tomorrow's FA Cup final schedule should really look like, as if it was 1974.
11.45am: The Cup Final Grandstand theme tune kicks in after a morning of Penelope Pitstop and Scooby Doo cartoons.
11.46am: A hologram of the late David Coleman introduces proceedings, direct from Wembley.
11.50am: Barry Davies comes out of retirement to report from outside Hull City's hotel as the players prepare to head to the stadium.
Noon: A profile of Steve Bruce in the Meet The Managers slot reveals his hitherto unknown passion for stamp-collecting.
12.30pm: Back to Barry, who is now playing cards with Tom Huddlestone on the Hull City bus.
12.45pm: Thanks to the recent Stuart Hall court case, It's A Cup Final Knockout is replaced by It's A Cup Final Bake-Off, hosted by Mary Berry.
Celebrity City fan Tom Courtenay's classic pattie butty wins hands down against Gooner Piers Morgan's foie gras.
1.15pm: After announcing the winner of Goal Of The Season competition, Steve Cram interviews City owner Assem Allam while jogging across the Humber Bridge.
1.25pm: Barry Davies and the City bus arrive at Wembley.
2pm: A one-off cup final edition of The Voice sees Will.i.am performing a duet with Dean Windass, beating the efforts of rivals Sir Tom Jones and Thierry Henry.
2.15pm: John Motson recalls how he once went on holiday to Hull in his sheepskin coat, only to be mistaken for Del Trotter in that episode of Only Fools And Horses.
2.30pm: The Band of the Coldstream Guards take to the pitch to entertain the fans before Sir Bruce Forsyth comes out of retirement to sing the Cup Final anthem Abide With Me (check out his 1974 Cup Final appearance on YouTube).
2.45pm: In the studio, ex-Arsenal goalie Bob Wilson predicts an Arsenal victory.
3pm: Kick-off.
4.55pm: City players celebrate victory while drinking milk during their post-match interviews.
