DERBY hero Graeme Horne will be hoping to inspire Hull KR to Magic Weekend success on his return from illness.
The ex-Hull FC man put in a stand-out performance against his former employers during KR's last-gasp 21-20 success last month, with his second-half brace turning the game on its head.
Having missed the 16-16 draw at Salford Red Devils with a sickness bug, Horne returns at the Etihad eager to make up for lost time.
With David Hodgson (knee) back in the starting line-up after missing the last few months and Craig Hall set to keep his place on the bench, Rovers are healthy ahead of the Manchester clash.
And Robins coach Craig Sandercock hopes the key trio can inspire his men to a second derby victory of the Super League season.
"Graeme was taken ill on the morning of the Salford game so Craig naturally fitted into that role on the bench and came straight in as 18th man," he told the Mail.
"I haven't seen Graeme yet but I will have the chance to talk to him later in the week. I imagine he will play.
"It's handy to have as many experienced players like those three as we can in the side to choose from.
"If you have a fully-fit squad then you have a decent team to put on the park."
Shocking weather conditions at Salford saw the Robins squander possession and chances too often on Saturday, with a swirling wind doing nothing to help half-back pairing Travis Burns and Kris Keating.
Sandercock isn't too concerned about his side's ball control, but he wants his players to execute their chances cleanly.
He added: "We need to work on our execution and make that a little better, but against any side we need to take our chances.
"I was reasonably happy with the performance at Salford, and if a few things had gone our way, then we would have won the game.
"The conditions were pretty atrocious and we dropped a few balls and bombed a few tries, but hopefully we'll see some decent weather at the weekend.
"I look forward to the Magic Weekend every year. It's a great trip and it's a fantastic stadium, the home of Manchester City the Premier League champions, and it's a pretty exciting stage to be on."
After losing out to a controversial Chris Green try last year, Sandercock is keen to look forward to an 80-minute performance against their biggest rivals rather than look back.
"I'm not taking any notice of what happened last year," he said.
"We just need to play what's in front of us and turn up with the right attitude.
"With a derby, form goes out of the window, as they say. It doesn't matter which team is winning going into it, and I'm expecting a physical and intense battle."
• TRAVIS Burns, who took a knock to the head late on in the second half at Salford, should be fit to play.
"He's a pretty tough character and I'm sure he will," added Sandercock.
