Motorists crossing the Humber Bridge southbound are being warned of possible delays this morning after a lorry ploughed through a central reservation on the A180 and spilled diesel over the road.
The accident happened near Habrough, but congestion is backing up to Barnetby Top and on to the southbound A15.
Humberside Police said a lorry collided with the central barrier on the westbound carriageway at about 5.20am. It has blocked one lane of the westbound carriageway and both lanes of the eastbound carriageway.
A spokesman said: "The lorry driver is unhurt. The lorry is a fully laden curtain-sided truck and a large amount of diesel has spilled onto the road.
"Recovery of the vehicle will be taking place shortly but at this time the eastbound carriageway has been closed at the Barnetby Interchange and diversions have been put in place.
"Traffic in the area around Barnetby Top is getting heavy as we approach rush hour and queues are building in the area. Police are asking drivers to be patient and to find alternative routes."
Witnesses are asked to call 101, referring to log 33 of May 13.Updated 8am.
