JOE Westerman still believes his Hull FC side can beat any team in Super League despite labelling their defeat to Wigan Warriors as 'a joke'.
Hull fell to a third defeat in four games as champions Wigan strolled to a 44-16 victory at the KC, leaving fans and players questioning where Hull's toughness has gone.
Having been in with a shout of winning every game they've lost this season, those fine margins became a gaping chasm as Hull were outplayed by a depleted Warriors.
"We know we can play. Personally I think we can beat anyone," Westerman told the Mail.
"We've lost narrowly to St Helens, Warrington and Castleford and we have to turn them into points, but after losing to Wakefield last week and then doing that against Wigan, it is a joke really.
"It is a joke for the fans, but they have to stick by us and get there next week in numbers for a big one."
