Aaron Heremaia will leave Hull FC at the end of the season after signing a contract with Widnes Vikings. The 31-year-old hooker will see his three-year spell at the Black and Whites brought to an end after Hull decided to not offer the former New Zealand international a new deal. Hull, who already have Danny Houghton signed to a long-term dal, are eager to bring back James Cunningham from his season-long loan spell at London Broncos and provide the home grown talent with an opportunity to shine. Heremaia had initially been expected to retire at the end of this season, but had a change of heart at the beginning of the year after insisting he wanted to now play on for as long as possible. The Kiwi is understood to have preferred to extend his contract at Hull, but coach Lee Radford has put his faith in Cunningham and Houghton for next season and will utilise the money to strengthen his squad elsewhere.
