Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock admits Rovers' three wins over St Helens this season gives his side an advantage ahead of their elimination play-off tie at Langtree Park.

Rovers recorded home and away wins in the league and knocked Saints out of the Challenge Cup at the first hurdle for the first time in almost 20 years.

But Sandercock admits the Robins will face a very different St Helens with Nathan Brown having a fully fit squad to choose from.

"Beating Saints three times already this season gives us an edge," he told the Mail.

"But they are at full strength, so Saturday is going to be a different proposition.

"We've been there before and we've won and that is something we can take into the play-off game."

Sandercock will be without half-back Travis Burns, who broke his arm in the 36-22 defeat at Widnes a fortnight ago.

Craig Hall is expected to fill in, as he did earlier in the season when Burns was injured and suspended.

Against London on Sunday, Sandercock gave Lincoln Withers the opportunity to play at stand-off and he put in a solid display.

Sandercock says both are possible options to play alongside Michael Dobson, who should be fit to return following an ankle injury.

"Lincoln and Craig are front runners," Sandercock said.

"Both did some good things against London. They did things Travis and Michael wouldn't do, it's a tough one."

Sandercock said Dobson should be available after deciding against playing him in the final game of the regular season.

It would have been Dobson's final home game for the Robins, but Sandercock said the departing half-back put the good of the team before his own personal wants.

"Michael wanted to play but he is a thorough professional," Sandercock said.

"He put the team above himself and he's the one that came to me and said he didn't think he should play. That's the player he is.

"Michael might have thought he was close to playing, but his ankle wasn't 100 per cent and it would have been silly of me to play him.

"The benefits will be reaped next week.

"When you have eight first- team players out unavailable, it would have been incompetent of me to play them and risk more injuries.

"If we had no injuries they probably would have played.

"That's the hard thing but I'm really pleased the players came through okay.

"We'll turn up next week with a different side ready to give it our best."
