NEW recruit Guillaume Doucet insists he does not feel under any pressure to produce the points at Rapid Solicitors Hull Stingrays.

The Canadian forward, 26, has been signed to pep up the club's goalscoring, and made an immediate impact on his debut last night, scoring twice and assisting on four other goals as Stingrays demolished an under-strength Edinburgh 9-0 at Hull Arena.

Doucet's line with Jereme Tendler and Matty Davies clicked from the outset, sharing six of the nine goals, with a brace from Bobby Chamberlain and a strike from new signing Omar Pacha completing the scoring.

He said: "It was good to get the first game out of the way and to get the legs going. They were a bit heavy at the end there.

"But it was good for our confidence and my line with Tendler and Davies had some chemistry. Both guys can skate and have speed and that suits my game.

"I don't feel any pressure to score the goals - I will just go out there and do my best."

Doucet will look to build on his impressive start when Stingrays take on Sheffield Steeldogs at iceSheffield tonight in the first leg of the Bradfield Brewery Cup.
