Hull City could officially announce the signings of Tottenham midfielders Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore later today, the Mail understands.6pm update:Huddlestone and Livermore signings confirmed
The deal, believed to be worth around £5m, will see Huddlestone join on permanent terms. Livermore is set to follow on a season-long loan.
Sunderland were understood to be competing for Huddlestone's signature until City made a breakthrough in negotiations yesterday.
It is believed terms have now been agreed and City will make an announcement following the completion of paperwork.
Huddlestone, 26, has played almost 200 senior games for Spurs, where his passing ability and long-range shots won comparisons to Glenn Hoddle. However, he spent much of last season on the bench and the arrival of £17m Paulinho had pushed him further down the pecking order at White Hart Lane.

Livermore, 23, also found first-team opportunities difficult to come by last term after making a breakthrough in the 2011-12 season, which culminated in him winning his first England cap.More to follow.
