RICHARD Beaumont's decision to join Super League rivals St Helens from 2014 could prove a bitter blow to Hull KR.
The highly-rated front rower could be a huge loss, not necessarily next year but I believe in the future he could well be one of those late developing front rowers.
Beaumont has had a torrid time with injuries, stretching back to 2008 when I was at the club, when a back injury threatened his rugby career.
It threatened to affect his quality of life outside of the game too.
He has spent almost six years battling against serious injuries, rehabbing his broken body.
So who can blame him for taking a pay increase to join the Saints?
On the other hand, who can blame Hull KR for not wanting to increase a player's wage who is still yet to break into the first team regularly and has had such a bad injury record?
It's a big move Beaumont has made, and a brave one too, I might add.
I wish him all the best and hope he fulfills his promise.
From Rovers' point of view their recruitment is going very strongly with Neville Costigan, Mick Weyman and Kris Keating set to be captured for 2014.
Wakefield duo Ben Cockayne and Kyle Amor are also on the radar so it's not too bad for that crisis club of just a few weeks ago!
Rovers have clearly identified their targets for season 2014 and onwards and are picking them off with precision.
A great deal of these captures is, in my opinion, down to Sandercock and his ability to coach his players to win games.
Players are wanting to join the coach in East Hull, join the club they see as potentially overachieving.
He's not done too badly to say most wanted him sacked in February.
