A family picnic that attracted thousands of people last year will be returning to Hull's Queens Gardens as part of the Freedom Festival.
About 15,000 people joined in for the picnic's inaugural year last summer, when it featured arts and craft stands and theatre.
The upcoming programme of family activity is still to be revealed, but will include a Welcoming The World theme of interactive performances, art installations and craft activities from city company Spin-Off Productions, as well as a display of 100 flags from around the world.
Councillor Terry Geraghty, portfolio holder for culture, leisure, events and public wellbeing, said: "The family picnic in Queens Gardens was a huge hit last year and was a key part of the festival.
"We want to make sure families don't miss out this year and that the event is even bigger and better."
Freedom will run from Friday, September 6, until Sunday, September 8, and promises a programme of music, art, performance, comedy and more.
