Elderly woman remains 'critical' after car crash
E YORKS: An elderly woman remains in a critical condition in hospital following a crash in Barton on Saturday morning.
The woman passenger was cut free from the car and taken to hospital with pelvic and spinal injuries.
The crash happened at about 9.30am when the silver Volvo came off the A1077 road.
The woman, 82, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
The male driver, 81, was also taken to Hull Royal Infirmary and treated for what are believed to be minor injuries. He has now been discharged from hospital.
Anyone who may have witnessed the accident should call Humberside Police on 101.
BEVERLEY: The owner of a valuable bracelet is being urged to come forward and collect it.
The Pandora bracelet was handed in to Beverley Police Station after it was found in Molescroft by a local resident.
A police spokesman said: "We would like the owner to come forward to identify and recover their property.
"A detailed description will not be available as we want the true owner to be able to identify it."
If anyone has lost a bracelet of this kind they should call Humberside Police on 101, quoting property reference number CB/027263/13.
E RIDING: North Ferriby Football Club is seeking permission to extend its clubhouse.
The club has submitted an application to erect a first-floor extension to the facility and also to provide a new set of turnstiles. The extension would provide a hospitality room and toilets.
East Riding Council's planning committee will consider the application in September.
E RIDING: A woman was injured in a two-car crash in Bridlington.
The accident happened in Sewerby Road on Sunday, just before 4.30pm.
The female driver of one of the vehicles was treated at the scene by paramedics. No one else was injured.
E RIDING: Hornsea Coastguard was called out on Saturday afternoon after a jet ski broke down near Tunstall.
The crew, along with Withernsea Coastguard and Withernsea Inshore Lifeboat, helped tow the jet ski back to shore.
No one was injured.
