A YACHT had to be towed into shore yesterday after it drifted out to sea with nobody onboard.
The vessel was found drifting off the coast between Withernsea and Easington by coastguard and RNLI crews at 2.45pm on Saturday.
A spokesman for the coastguard said: "We went on board, but couldn't find anyone there.
"We found out he had gone to get fuel from Withernsea and the yacht had then been caught drifting.
"We took the vessel to Spurn Point where it could be reunited with its owner."
