HUMBERSIDE Police has cut 60 officers in six months, new figures have revealed.
The force has fewer officers than at any time in its history, with 1,771 in March 2013.
That figure is now likely to have fallen further.
In September last year, the force had 1,831 officers, which was the lowest number since it was established in 1974.
The number of civilian staff employed by the force has also fallen by 24 in six months.
Six more PCSOs have been taken on.
The figures come as the force tries to save £5m this year and £6m next year.
