A householder interrupted a shirtless burglar who was about to climb through an open window in Kirk Ella.
The resident returned to the property in Mill Lane at 12.40pm yesterday to find two men – one topless – on a flat roof.
They ran off before they could enter the property.
Both were wearing tracksuit bottoms and were described as aged between 20 and 25.
Anyone with information is asked to call Humberside Police on 101.
