THOUSANDS of people enjoyed glorious sunshine at Driffield Show today.
Soaring temperatures meant extra water was laid on at the showground for the animals and 5,000 visitors.
Show director David Tite said: "It's glorious, it's fantastic, I couldn't have asked for more.
"Traffic flowed in beautifully this morning.
"A lot of the sections have more entries, handicrafts are up and horticulture is doing extremely well.
"I thought after last year with so many shows cancelled we'd be in trouble with trade stands, but we've got 500 – it's a cracking display."
