Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Hull City defender Jack Hobbs.
The deal - trailed here yesterday - will see the 24-year-old move to the City Ground on an initial season-long loan.
But Forest expect to make the signing permanent at the end of the 2013-14 campaign after pre-agreeing a two-year contract until summer 2016.
Reds boss Billy Davies said he was delighted to secure the signature of a defender he described as one of the "brightest prospects" outside the Premier League.
He said: "We are very pleased to welcome Jack to the club.
"He has for some time been recognised as one of the brightest defensive prospects outside the Premier League and I am delighted that we have been able to bring him in.
"To target players of his calibre is easy - the difficult part is making the deal happen."
