One ward remains closed while another reopened after a winter vomiting bug took hold at East Yorkshire hospitals.
Ward 19 at Castle Hill Hospital, a medical ward for the elderly, remained shut yesterday due to norovirus.
However, Ward 10 at Hull Royal Infirmary re-opened yesterday, having previously been closed because of the bug.
The virus, which is highly contagious, causes sickness and diarrhoea.
There is no specific cure and sufferers just have to let it run its course.
Ward 19 – which is also a medical ward for the elderly – is officially closed, which means no new admissions are being taken and family members cannot visit until it reopens.
