TEMPERATURES are set to soar in East Yorkshire tomorrow in one of the hottest days of the year so far.
Highs of 28C are predicted and the mercury will not drop below 12C tonight, according to the Met Office.
The sun will be out all weekend, with occasional patchy cloud expected and no rain forecast.
Temperatures today will hit 23C and thousands of people are expected to take advantage of the summer weather by heading to Cottingham Day, an annual celebration of life in the village.
There will be live bands, classic cars and a fun fair open all day.
In Pearson Park, families can view open-air paintings from 12noon until 7pm.
The clear skies are also good for Holy Trinity Church in Hull's old town, which is offering hourly trips up its tower today.
