HULL KR coach Craig Sandercock hopes to have two of his leading players back to face Salford on Sunday, as an illness bug continues to strike down his players.
Seven players have been affected by the bug that ruled out Rhys Lovegrove and Liam Salter for last week's 24-12 win at St Helens.
Lovegrove remains a doubt for the visit of the Reds to MS3 Craven Park.
The others who have been unable to train properly this week are Sean Gleeson, Evarn Tuimavave, Jordan Cox, Mickey Paea and Con Mika.
Sandercock hopes to have Paea and Mika fit and healthy for Sunday's match.
"Hopefully Mika and Paea will come through okay," Sandercock told the Mail.
"Sean and Rhys are still quite ill.
"The other four players have picked up the bug and have all been ill and have not been able to train.
"We need at least two of them back playing this weekend, possibly three.
"There's a chance that three or four of them won't be available.
"Sean is probably the worst with a chest infection while Cox and Tuimavave are certainly pretty bad."
The bug couldn't have come at a worse time for Sandercock.
Rovers are chasing their fifth successive win for the first time since 2009 - when they finished fourth.
Jason Netherton was the first to suffer with the illness when he was forced to withdraw from the squad at the last moment on the eve of the Catalan win in Toulouse.
However, Sandercock said Netherton was now over the worst of the illness.
"Jason should be okay now," Sandercock said.
"He was the one that started the illness, but he's okay now.
"We don't know how it started."
