HULL City goalkeeper Mark Oxley has completed his season-long loan move to League One side Oldham Athletic.
The 22-year-old, who signed a new two-year deal with the Tigers last month, has been sent to Boundary Park to collect valuable experience in his bid to climb into Steve Bruce's first-team plans.
Oxley has been with City since signing from Rotherham United as a highly-rated teenager in the summer of 2008.
Despite loan spells with Walsall, Grimsby Town and Burton Albion, an injury-troubled career has limited him to just one appearance for the Tigers – a brief substitute cameo in January's 3-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday.
Bruce, guided by goalkeeping coach Gary Walsh, was keen to see Oxley handed another long-term chance with City and a loan move to Oldham is designed to accelerate his progression this season.
New arrival Allan McGregor, Eldin Jakupovic and first-year professional Joe Cracknell are left as City's goalkeeping options for the Premier League.
