CURTIS Davies has officially become the latest new addition to the Hull City ranks ahead of their second Premier League adventure.
The 28-year-old has agreed a three-year deal at the KC Stadium after arriving in the city yesterday to thrash out personal terms on a move from Birmingham City.
Although the fee has been declared as undisclosed, the Mail understands it is in the region of the £2.25m which has been well reported.
With 12 months left on his deal at Birmingham, Davies had made no secret of his desire to return to the top flight.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce is confident Davies - who boasts over 300 career appearances for Luton, West Brom, Aston Villa, Leicester and Birmingham - can strengthen his defensive options next term.
Last season saw Davies score six goals in 41 Championship appearances, making him a valuable set-piece threat.
Davies said he was "delighted" to be joining City.
He told the club's official website:
"I'm joining Hull City at an exciting time and the chance to play in the Barclays Premier League was also a huge attraction. I wanted to get back to that level.
"Hopefully I can help this team to have a good season and push as high up the table as possible. I can't wait for Chelsea on the first day of the season now."
