Coach Craig Sandercock praised Hull KR's never-say-die attitude after a 22-21 away victory over Catalan Dragons.
Rovers trailed by five heading into the final five minutes, but snatched victory thanks to a third try for Greg Eden and a touchline conversion by Michael Dobson.
In a game that ebbed and flowed throughout, Rovers had to weather a Dragons storm in the latter stages as they looked for the score that would win them the game. But Rovers held on to move closer to a play-off place.
"It's pleasing and I'm happy for the boys," said Sandercock.
"They tried really hard today and, although we weren't at our best, they never gave up and I'm more happy for the boys than anything else.
"It was a really entertaining game that seemed to fly by, but those last five minutes were probably the slowest five minutes of my life. That's rugby league."
The Robins had enjoyed a dream start in Toulouse. Eden opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a try and Josh Hodgson ran in five minutes later to open up a 12-0 lead.
Kevin Larroyer, Frederic Vaccari and Vincent Duport all scored, only for Thomas Bosc to miss each conversion to leave it 12-12. Bosc's drop goal gave the Dragons, who had three tries ruled out by the video ref, a slender 13-12 lead at the break.
Bosc converted a penalty to make it 15-12 as Catalan looked to control the game - only for Eden to shock the home side with his second try.
Duport went over for his second with nine minutes remaining. But back came KR and Eden sealed the win and his hat-trick diving over in the right hand corner to seal a brilliant win.
Afterwards, Sandercock praised the Toulouse venue for contributing to a pulsating match.
The game was staged at Stade Ernest Wallon, as the Dragons look to promote rugby league outside of their Perpignan base.
"I think the ground and the atmosphere helped the game," he said. "The ground is absolutely impeccable and we love playing on a dry surface and I'm pretty sure Catalans do too, and I think that added to the spectacle."
