A man was robbed and beaten close to a park in west Hull.
The victim, 51, was attacked in Pearson Avenue, off Beverley Road, close to the Pearson Park gates, as he took shelter from the rain in a telephone kiosk at around 1am on Saturday.
As he left the kiosk, he was approached by an unknown man who then hit the victim on the back of his head, which caused him to fall to the floor.
The attacker continued to assault him before stealing his sky blue rucksack, containing cigarettes, five cigars, reading spectacles, two white t-shirts, a quantity of cash and bank cards.
Anyone with information should contact Humberside police on 101.
