A thief brandishing a hammer has stolen a large quantity of rings and necklaces from a shop in Hull.
The man used the hammer to threaten staff before smashing the glass of the window display at Cash Converters, Hessle Road, at around 11am on Saturday.
Six pads containing various pieces of jewellery, valued at approximately £4,000, were stolen.
The thief left the store and headed off along Hessle Road, in the direction of Rawlings Way, with another man.
The first suspect is described as a white man, aged mid to late 20s, skinny build, 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a cream or beige coloured jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms, a black beanie hat with a white motif and a black scarf over his face.
The second man was also white and possibly wearing a red jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms and a white hat. It is thought he may have been acting as a look-out at the store entrance and may have been riding a mountain bike.
Anyone with information about the robbery should contact Humberside Police on 101.
