A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman fell into the path of a lorry on the A63 last week.
John Touray, 51, appeared at Hull Magistrates Court today after he was charged with attempted murder by detectives from Humberside Police late on Friday night.
The woman, who has not been named, was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary after passers-by came to her aid after a near miss with a white DAF truck on the A63 at Castle Street.
Although she was not hit by the lorry, the woman had
suffered injuries and was questioned by detectives at her home on Friday after she was released from hospital.
Mr Touray has been remanded in custody and will appear at Hull Crown Court on June 19.
