The funeral of a grandmother who was stabbed to death in bed at her home in east Hull will take place this week.
Irene Dale, 78, died after she was attacked at her home in Summergangs Road last month.
She was sleeping alongside her husband Allan, 80, who was also stabbed and suffered serious injuries. He has since been released from hospital.
A death notice placed in the Mail describes her as a "dearly loved wife of Allan" and a "devoted mam and grandma".
Her funeral will be held in the small chapel at Chanterlands Crematorium at noon on Friday.
Her family have asked for donations to be made to the PDSA animal charity in memory of Mrs Dale, who was regularly seen walking her dog Pye in Summergangs Road.
A 17-year-old has been charged with murdering Mrs Dale and attempting to murder Mr Dale. He is due to appear at Hull Youth Court tomorrow.
