Hull FC's young full-back Jamie Shaul has signed a new two-year deal, the club has confirmed.
It comes after the former Skirlaugh amateur has burst onto the first-team scene this season having twice impressed when called into action by coach Peter Gentle.
Today, Shaul said he was delighted to tie his future to the club.
"Getting a one-year deal last year gave me something to work for and I'm over the moon to get a new one sorted," he told the club's website.
"It's all been a bit surreal to be honest. I've gone from standing on the terraces and going home and away to watch the team play to pulling the shirt on myself.
"I can't wait for another chance in the first team as there's nothing better than pulling that Black and White shirt on. I just want to do it week in, week out now."
As previously reported, Shaul's first team opportunities are limited due to there being no reserve team structure any more, and Shannon McDonnell the club's first-choice full-back.
That means he is expected to spend more time on dual registration with partner club York City Knights this season.
