WESTS Tigers have confirmed Hull FC have tabled a contract for their scrum-half Jacob Miller, as the player edges closer to a move to the KC Stadium.

As first reported on April 18, Hull have been chasing the 20-year-old former Junior Kangaroo and while the deal is still not ready to be announced, he looks set to arrive before the end of this month.

Stephen Humphreys, Chief Executive Officer at Wests, made the contact between the two clubs public after revealing Hull's offer.

"There's clearly interest in Jacob from Hull, who have tabled a multi-year deal for him," he said.

"He's coming off contract at the end of the year, and that's appealing to him. We've not signed off on anything yet and Jacob has been named to play NSW Cup tonight and this weekend."

The deal to the end of 2015 is still to be signed, with Wests keeping hold of Miller's registration until a UK visa is granted for the playmaker.

The Mail understands Hull contacted the RFL last year with regard to Miller's contract when they were close to signing a player Peter Gentle knows well.

Hull were told last year there would be no issue in signing the unproven Aussie, as he was not directly stopping a homegrown player's pathway and FC expect no complications in signing the half-back.
