HULL KR prop Mickey Paea says they have nothing to fear facing Wigan in the Challenge Cup – even though the Warriors destroyed Rovers 84-6 just five weeks ago.
Paea remembers that day all too well, but given what happened that afternoon, he feels the pressure will be off his side on Sunday.
"We have nothing to lose and we've got another crack at them," he told the Mail.
"Yes, it's Wigan, but to be the best you have to beat the best, and if we can knock them out it is a quality team out of the way.
"It doesn't get any harder than against Wigan, especially with what happened last time. But it's the Challenge Cup and anything can happen."
Paea knows KR's record defeat will be mentioned a lot between now and Sunday's cup tie.
It has been on the players' minds ever since the Warriors scored their 15th try on Easter Monday, and they want to do something about it.
They were embarrassed that day, but KR were missing many key players, including stand-off Travis Burns.
Paea for one wants to put the record straight, and says they can't let that loss play on their minds too much.
"I don't think we have to look back at that last Wigan game," Paea said.
"I know it is in the back of the minds of players, especially the players that played that day, but we will definitely want to rectify it.
"We'll definitely be up for this game."
Paea says he was proud of the way KR beat St Helens in the last round to set up this cup clash.
He saw just what it meant to the Rovers supporters, who haven't been to the Challenge Cup final since 1986, when losing to Castleford at the old Wembley.
Paea and the rest of the Rovers squad were reminded of the club's former cup glories ahead of their 26-18 win over Saints and the Tongan wants to be a part of the next generation of Rovers' cup heroes.
"We've watched a few of the old clips from 1980 when Rovers beat Hull in the cup final," he added.
"That was something we can draw a bit of inspiration from. That was something that excited me watching those clips and how much it meant to the fans."
