HULL KR hooker Josh Hodgson is confident Rovers can continue their impressive record of recovery at Castleford this Sunday.
Following their last five defeats, Rovers have bounced back to win the next game – and one of those was a 26-22 victory against the Tigers.
Having suffered a 44-10 defeat to defending champions Leeds on Sunday, Hodgson feels his side can make it six when they travel to the Wish Communications Stadium this weekend.
"Hopefully, we can bounce back with a win and carry on from there," Hodgson told the Mail.
"We can learn how to be more clinical from the Leeds game.
"They did their job very well by kicking long and they all chased hard. But they defended just as hard.
"That's something we need to do because we didn't against Leeds.
"It's a game we need to win because we have Wigan in the cup after that and we want to go into that match with a bit of form."
Rovers now sit ninth in the table, just three points behind fifth-placed Catalan.
Encouraged by how his side are playing at the moment, Hodgson was disappointed to eventually concede 44 points at MS3 Craven Park.
But the hooker, who has scored six tries this season, believes that was more down to his side than Leeds' quality and hopes an improvement will herald a return to winning ways.
"At 10-6 it was anybody's game," said the 23-year-old.
"Leeds didn't really out us under too much pressure. It was just a case of too many dropped balls and too many soft penalties.
"We also had a Greg Eden try disallowed, which was a massive factor in the outcome, but ultimately, errors killed us.
"We can't give any teams in this league, especially a team like Leeds, that much ball and that's why we came unstuck.
"There were too many unforced errors in our game. We have to complete our sets, keep hold of the ball and do the basics well."
But whether KR come away from Castleford with the win depends on how they contain talisman Rangi Chase.
"Rangi is a very good player," Hodgson added. "But Castleford have other good players too.
"They also seem to grow another leg when they play at home. It will be tough."
