HUMBERSIDE Police this morning issued a fresh appeal for information after a pedestrian was killed by a lorry in east Hull.
The 71-year-old man was killed when he was run over by a HGV on Holderness Road, near the crossing outside Teddies Amusements, at 3.15pm on Friday.
The 36-year-old driver of the truck was not hurt.
Police would now like to speak to the drivers of two cars about the accident.
The first was a green Vauxhall, possibly a Zafira, which was travelling along Holderness Road out of the city. The driver is believed to have flagged down police to tell them what had happened.
The second vehicle, also understood to be a Vauxhall, had been travelling in front of the lorry before the accident and stopped at a crossing near the British Heart Foundation.
Both drivers, along with any other witnesses, are asked to call police on 101, quoting log 449 of April 26.
