HULL KR were beaten 44-10 by defending champions Leeds Rhinos today as the visitors ran in eight tries at MS3 Craven Park to keep the pressure on league leaders Wigan. The Robins were well in the contest for the opening half-hour, training just 10-6 10 minutes before the break. Ryan Hall had opened the scoring in the sixth minute, but Rovers hit back as Michael Dobson created an opening for Cory Paterson to charge his way over and level the score at 4-4. Dobson's conversion edged KR ahead, but when Danny McGuire's sent Brett Delaney over close to the posts, Leeds never looked back. Kevin Sinfield converted that try and did so again when Zac Hardaker went over in the 35th minute from Rob Burrow's clever kick. Sinfield hit the post after Mitch Achurch's try from close range, but converted later when Joel Moon raced over from 40 metres out. Sinfield converted to give the Rhinos a 26-6 lead. It was the only score in the first 30 minutes of the second half as errors crept into both attacks. Kallum Watkins then crossed for Leeds' sixth try of the afternoon, Sinfield adding the extras to make it 32-6. Ian Kirke then found a way over the line to take the score to 38-6, before Rovers reached double figures in the 77th minute when Omari Caro crossed. Dobson missed the conversion before Watkins burst through to score the final try of the game from 65 metres. Sinfield's sixth conversion left the final score 44-10.
