IT WAS all fun and games at Rainbow nursery to fundraise for a toddler with cerebral palsy.
The Westbourne Avenue nursery held a fun-day to buy special equipment for Harry Greene.
The two-year-old tot has dyskinetic cerebral palsy and mum Sara Greene said it is amazing how much the nursery want to help him.
Sara said: "They really go above and beyond what they need to do."
Harry, who needs special equipment just to sit up, also had his kidney removed, so needs to drink through a feeding tube in his stomach.
His mum explained how the condition affects her toddler from day-to-day.
She said: "His movements are very random, he goes from really floppy to really rigid.
"He can't control his movements."
"He either has to lie on the floor or has to be held."
The nursery held the fun- day on Saturday and the pre-schoolers and their parents all took part in a bake sales, raffle, face-painting and children's activities.
The day raised a total of £240 and nursery manager Louise Holland said they want to keep helping Harry.
Louise said: "Everyone here at the nursery loves him.
"We're going to continually fundraise throughout the year to get him as much equipment as we can."
The total raised will go towards a pea pod chair to help Harry sit up while he is playing.
Mum Sara said: "Harry needs more stimulation than most children but you can't play with him while you're holding him.
"He's at an age where he should be sitting up.
"It's all about developing his independence."
Next, the nursery wants to raise money for sensory equipment for him to play with.
Harry has been attending the nursery since he was a baby and all of the staff received specialist training from a nurse and physiotherapist to help them meet Harry's needs.
His one-on-one carer, who is with him all day at the nursery, gives him physio and makes sure he is involved in the activities.
Harry's brother Oliver, four, also used to attend the nursery so Sara said they feel like "a little second family.
She said: "Anything is great that can go towards equipment and Harry has a great time there."
Anyone wanting to help can still donate to Rainbow nursery.
