Motorcyclist Kieran Lovell dies in Leconfield crash

A 20-year-old motorcyclist from the Beverley area has died after a crash on the A164 at Leconfield. Kieran Steven Lovell, from Leconfield, died when his motorbike collided with a car near to the Defence School of Transport on Saturday (April 20). Mr Lovell was riding towards Beverley at 8.40pm when he was involved in a crash with a silver Citroen Saxo being driven by a 25-year-old man from North Lincolnshire. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The car driver was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with a head injury. The road was closed until 4.15am on Sunday, April 21. Police are investigating the crash and wish to speak to any witnesses who were in the area at the time. Mr Lovell was riding an orange Superbike RM125 motorcycle. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 referring to log 801 of April 20, 2013.
