JOE Arundel says Hull FC have delivered on all their promises as the centre revels in life at the Black and Whites.
The 21-year-old, a close-season addition from Castleford Tigers, was one of the first players to be signed by Hull last season.
Having agreed early in the campaign to make the switch to the KC Stadium, Arundel was lured by coach Peter Gentle and owner Adam Pearson's grand ambitions for the club.
Injured for much of last season, Arundel watched on eagerly as Hull unveiled signings such as vastly experienced stars Gareth Ellis, Daniel Holdsworth and Ben Galea.
A month into life at his new club and having already had a taste of what it means to be a player in Hull, Arundel says the club have stuck to their word and he's eager to start linking up with the new arrivals.
"When I agreed to sign for Hull they told me they were chasing some big name players and then you watch as they sign people like Gareth Ellis and Daniel Holdsworth, so they've been true to their word," Arundel told the Mail.
"That's great for me because having the chance to learn from those type of players, and to learn from someone like Gareth Ellis and play alongside him, is going to be great for my career.
"Gareth has played at the highest level for a number of years and that will improve me as a player. I'm looking forward to those guys coming in and getting started with them."
Arundel will have to wait until the club's warm weather training camp in Tenerife after Christmas before linking-up with both, as despite Ellis arriving next week, Holdsworth will not join his teammates until next month.
Arundel and new winger Jason Crookes are expected to be Hull's new right-sided three-quarter line, although Gentle is yet to show his hand as to whether Ellis will play in his favoured right-side second row position, occupy the left side vacated by Willie Manu or even play through the middle.
With Danny Tickle settled on Hull's right in recent years, it's a decision which Arundel admits still offers plenty of excitement for him.
But, for now, the young aspiring player says his focus remains not on next season, but getting fit and preparing to make his Hull debut in Kirk Yeaman's testimonial game against his old club.
"My first priority is to get fit and get my strength back because I intend to be ready to play Castleford in the first friendly" adds Arundel, who this week returned to full training following his shoulder injury.
"It will be strange lining up against them in my first game for Hull and I'll be honest, I'm looking forward to getting that game out the way.
"I'll be really nervous, but it is a club I respect a lot for bringing me through, although, I'm glad the game is at the KC and not at Cas."
