FRIENDS have paid tribute to a mother found dead in a flat in the Avenues.
Dawn Warburton, 40, has been described as "a laugh a minute" and "full of fun".
Her body was discovered in the flat in Westbourne Avenue, west Hull, on Saturday night.
Police said she died as a result of "compression to the neck".
Posting on the social networking site Facebook, her daughter, Sammi, thanked people for the messages of support.
In response to friends, she wrote: "Thank you. It's hard but I'm being strong."
A 39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murdering Miss Warburton was yesterday released on bail.
Friends of Miss Warburton have also used Facebook to pay tribute to her.
Lisa Dunn wrote: "So sad to hear some tragic news just now. Dawn Warburton, may you now be with your beautiful mummy up in heaven.
"Lots of fantastic memories when we were in our teens, lots of fun and laughter, tears too.
"Dawn knew how to do 'fun'. She was a cheeky bird when we were teenagers. Always giggling and messing around.
"Thinking of you Dawn and sending you loads of love up above, my old friend xxxx."
It is believed Miss Warburton grew up in Keyingham and attended Withernsea High School, leaving in 1988.
She later moved to Hull.
Also posting on Facebook, Linda Law wrote: "So sad news. She was a cracker and a lovely lass. May she sleep peacefully and live like I remember her, a crazy gal who was always jolly and lived life to the full."
Jo-Anne Oliver Howes said: "So very sad to hear that Dawn has left us. Always such a presence in any situation. A laugh a minute. All will be remembered."
Craig Marriott said: "RIP Dawn Warburton, great girl whom I knew throughout the entirety of my school years.
"She was lovely. I last saw her in the city centre, back end of last year. She will be so missed. She was just the same as when we were at school."
Kirstie Nicholson wrote: "She could be mad as a hatter but always had a good heart."
Humberside Police said they were called to Westbourne Avenue by a "concerned member of the public" at 9pm on Saturday.
Neighbours in Westbourne Avenue reported seeing a man being led away from the house by police wearing only his underwear.
A spokeswoman for the force said her death is being treated as "unexplained".
It is being investigated by detectives from Humberside's major incident team.
The spokeswoman said specially trained family liaison officers are supporting Ms Warburton's family.
Anyone with information about her death or events leading up to it should call the incident room at Tower Grange police station on 01482 796271.
