HULL KR are hoping to have an influx of senior players back in their ranks when facing St Helens at MS3 Craven Park this Sunday.
The Robins are closely monitoring the fitness of six key players in training, but are hoping all will be ready to lift the side following Sunday's club-record 84-6 loss to Wigan.
Half-backs Travis Burns and Michael Dobson have not yet been ruled out of making a return from hamstring and shoulders injuries.
Dobson has not played since beating Castleford, whilst Burns injured his shoulder early in the second half of the derby win at Hull on Good Friday.
His return also hangs on him escaping a ban at today's meeting of the RFL's disciplinary panel, where he faces as much as a two-game ban after being cited for his high tackle on Ben Crooks.
Second row Cory Paterson (hamstring) and winger Dave Hodgson (calf), should also both be back having missed the drubbing at the hands of the Warriors.
Rovers will also hope both Liam Salter (shoulder) and Josh Hodgson (concussion), recover from their injuries picked up on Sunday in time to play this weekend.
"Liam and Josh were busted. They struggled to play and it is a credit to them that they played as long as they did," said coach Craig Sandercock.
"Cory's hamstring tightened in the derby and it would have been a risk to damage it further, but we're hoping he'll be back this week.
"Dave's calf tightened up after the derby and we're hoping he'll be back also."
Sandercock has stressed the need to have a near full-strength side to compete with Super League's best teams all year.
That was shown as Wigan blew his side away at MS3 Craven Park, with coach admitting a big lesson had been handed out.
"To us they were unplayable," Sandercock said.
"Wigan were absolutely white hot and they were too classy and their back-line absolutely destroyed us.
"They exposed a couple of weaknesses and they exposed them very well. They deserved to win big. The boys learned a massive lesson."
